Does this feel familiar?
- The constant pressure: You feel exhausted from managing it all, yet rest feels like something you haven't yet earned.
- The hum of anxiety: A persistent tension remains just beneath the surface, even when everything seems fine.
- The disconnect: You feel distant from your own needs, your body, and the vibrance of the person you used to be.
- The coping trap: You minimise your own struggles because they don't look 'severe' enough to others.
These aren't personal flaws; they are survival strategies that once protected you but may no longer be serving you. You don't need to try harder or cope better— you need a safe space where you can begin to understand your needs, reconnect with yourself and allow your nervous system to soften and heal.
Integrated therapy for mind and body
Because knowing why you feel this way isn't always enough to change it
How We Work Together
My work is grounded in Person Centred therapy. I believe you are not broken your patterns make sense in the context of your story. I don't aim to fix you but to create the safe respectful conditions where you can naturally heal and grow.
The power of being heard
At the core of my practice is the belief that healing begins when we are truly heard. In our sessions, you are met with warmth, deep respect, and no judgment.
Often, we carry thoughts, fears, or past experiences that we feel we must edit or hide from the world. Having a dedicated, confidential space to speak these truths aloud to a trained professional allows you to untangle complex feelings, make sense of your experiences, and view yourself with greater clarity and compassion. Talking therapies work not by telling you what to do, but by offering a compassionate mirror—helping you process your pain, discover your own inner wisdom, and find your way forward at your own pace.
Beyond “just talking”
Alongside conversation, we gently integrate body and nervous system awareness. So often, we cannot simply think our way through anxiety, overwhelm, or painful emotional patterns, because they are rooted in the body as well as the mind. Paying attention to your system—at a pace that feels safe—helps bring understanding, grounding, and relief.
The speed of safety
We work at a pace that feels manageable for your nervous system. Drawing on ideas such as the Window of Tolerance, we notice when your system moves into overwhelm or shutdown and support you to stay within a steadier place where meaningful change can unfold.
Listening to the parts that learned to cope
Many people develop protective patterns such as over-working, perfectionism, or people-pleasing. In therapy we approach these parts with curiosity and compassion, helping you understand their role while gently creating space for new ways of responding.
Reconnecting with your authentic self
Over time, many people begin to experience greater clarity about their needs, boundaries and direction in life. The aim is not only to ease distress, but to help you feel more at home within yourself.
Therapy that restores inner safety
I believe therapy isn't just for crisis; it's for meaningful growth. My work integrates traditional therapeutic conversation with nervous syem awarenesss
The difference
This isn't surface level coping we don't just talk about the past we listen to what your body is holding today. By building physiological safety we allow real, lasting change to happen at a pace that suits your nervous system
About Donna

"For a long time, I was an expert at appearing steady while feeling overwhelmed inside. My journey into trauma-informed therapy began when I realised that 'resilience' shouldn't feel like constant exhaustion.
As a counsellor and yoga teacher, I don't just listen to your story; I help you listen to your body. Together, we work to restore your inner safety and build a life that truly fits you—not one you simply function in."
